UnityPoint Health invites a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our Urbandale Urgent Care team. This weekend-only, part-time role supports exams, treatments, patient education, and documentation in the EHR.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certificate, diploma, or associate).
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the listed credentialing bodies.
• Prior clinical/outpatient experience preferred; familiarity with EPIC a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
• Room patients, record histories, vital signs, and document in the EHR.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per licensure.
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate’s Degree) required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
• National Healthcare Association
• American Association of Medical Assistants
• National Center for Competency Testing
• National Certified Medical Assistant
• National Association of Health Professionals
• American Registry of Medical Assistants
• American Allied Health
• American Medical Technologists
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
• For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
