Job summary

UnityPoint Health is seeking a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Pediatrics- Mulberry team in Muscatine, IA. The role supports exams, treatments, and patient education in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

The CMA will assist with patient care, document in the EHR, and coordinate referrals. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential, with a shift of Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm and occasional holidays, evenings, or weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid and current CMA certification.
• CMA credential from an accredited program.
• Prior clinical or outpatient experience preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
• Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
