Job summary

Samaritan is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (Part-Time) in New Jersey. Must have a valid NJ CHHA license and be willing to travel within the service area to care for hospice patients in homes or facilities.

You will provide ADL assistance, implement care plans under RN guidance, document care in electronic records, and travel to patient locations as needed. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, 403(b), medical/dental/vision, PTO, mileage reimbursement, and more.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NJ CHHA certification.
• Driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Caring for hospice patients in homes or facilities.
• Assisting with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Implementing plan of care under RN guidance.
• Performing light housekeeping in patient areas as needed.
• Documenting patient care in electronic records.
• Travel to patient homes and facilities as assigned.
• Represent Samaritan positively to patients and families.

This full-time opportunity offers between $18.75 - $22.00 per hour based on years of experience. Must be able to work every other weekend and 2 holidays per year.

• Caring for hospice patients in private homes and/or healthcare facilities
• Assisting with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, assistance with meals, ambulation, re-positioning, etc.
• Implementing plan of care under the directive of a registered nurse
• Performing light housekeeping in patient area only, when needed.
• Documenting patient care in electronic software.
• Ability to travel to patient homes and facilities as assigned
• Represent Samaritan in a positive manner to the patients, families and entire community
• Other duties as assigned.
