Job summary

Samaritan is hiring a Home Health Aide to provide compassionate, high-quality care for hospice patients in private homes and healthcare facilities. You will implement plans of care, assist with daily living activities, and document patient care in our electronic system.

Valid NJ CHHA certification and a valid driver's license with a vehicle are required; you will travel within the service area. Excellent communication skills and a supportive team environment are emphasized.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for hospice patients in private homes and facilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Follow care plans under RN supervision.
• Perform light housekeeping in patient area.
• Document care in electronic records.
• Travel to patient homes as needed.
• Represent Samaritan professionally to patients and families.

A compassionate job-seeker is needed for the Home Health Aide opportunity with our company! As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality, expert care of your assigned hospice patients. This opportunity offers between $18.75 -$22.00 per hour based on years of experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Caring for hospice patients in private homes and/or healthcare facilities
• Assisting with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, assistance with meals, ambulation, re-positioning, etc.
• Implementing plan of care under the directive of a registered nurse
• Performing light housekeeping in patient area only, when needed.
• Documenting patient care in electronic software.
• Ability to travel to patient homes and facilities as assigned
• Represent Samaritan in a positive manner to the patients, families and entire community
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to Our Team:

• Valid NJ CHHA certification
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and vehicle with a willingness to travel throughout the service area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
