Job summary

Project Hope Foundation in Spartanburg is seeking a Part-Time Bus Driver to transport students on regular routes, with routes Wednesday AM and PM, and Friday AM, plus opportunities to pick up more routes as needed.

You’ll drive 22/20- or 15/14-passenger buses, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure safety and reliable service for students. A CDL and clean driving record are required, with paid training and opportunities for maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screen and SLED background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students daily between school locations and pick-up/drop-off points.
• Drive 22/20-, or 15/14-passenger bus with students and staff.
• Assist with transportation for planned field trips.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable laws.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Track and report passenger routes and times.
• Communicate delays or route changes as needed.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Safely transport students daily between their school locations (near Landrum or Woodruff) and a single pick-up/drop-off location in Greenville or Spartanburg.


• Drive a 22/20- or 15/14-passenger bus, carrying a mix of students and support staff.


• Assist with transportation for planned field trips.


• Follow appropriate safety procedures and applicable laws.


• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working order.


• Track and report required information on passengers, routes, and time.


• Report signs of maintenance needs and potential repairs.


• Communicate delays, route changes, or other important updates as they arise.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent


• A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)


• Experience driving a school bus (desired)


• Ability to pass a drug screen


• Ability to pass a SLED background check


• Ability to pass a DOT Physical
