Job summary

Meeting Street Schools is seeking a part-time bus driver to support safe student transportation across the city. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, operate a school bus, and transport students and staff to designated locations while upholding safety standards.

Candidates must be 21+, hold a high school diploma, possess a valid Class B or Class C CDL with passenger endorsement, and pass required checks (DOT physical, drug test, background).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug test, and criminal background check.
• Class B or Class C CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Minimum of one year of bus driving experience.
• Hourly pay range of $20.00-$29.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Drive a school bus, including picking up and dropping off students and staff passengers at established locations around the city.
• Conduct post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all passengers have left the bus.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings to learn and achieve the highest professional driving skill level.
• Clean bus as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive school image.
• As requested, take field trip runs to transport students and other passengers to and from their destinations.
• Committed to constant professional and personal growth through reflection, feedback, and collaboration.
• Models MSS Path to Success skills and supports the development of those skills in students and peers.

The Role

The part-time bus driver position is a critical part of the Meeting Street Schools team.

Requirements
