Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain one; company pays.
• Minimum of two years of recent, verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Driving record meets company and insurance-carrier requirements.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service requirements, vehicle inspection procedures, cargo-securement requirements, and safe-driving practices.
• Ability to read maps/delivery documents and safety procedures.
• Ability to complete required records accurately and timely.
• Strong communication, customer-service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to use ELD, navigation systems, mobile devices, and company tools.
• Able to participate in on-call rotation and report outside hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy-duty vehicles to complete routes and deliveries.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload cargo per procedures.
• Verify load distribution and weight compliance.
• Operate in DOT/OSHA compliance; follow traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues or safety hazards promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of the vehicle.
• Complete logs, bills of lading, and delivery docs on time.
• Plan routes considering traffic, weather, and hours-of-service.
• Communicate delays or issues to the dispatcher.
• Report accidents or incidents per procedures.
• Follow safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Provide courteous service to customers and vendors.
• Retain licenses and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
