Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics seeks a Part Time RN for the Medical/Surgical Unit and CCU to provide direct, professional nursing care for medical/surgical and critically ill patients. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring a safe environment for patients and families in line with organizational policies.

The role includes collaboration with the shift team and Clinical Coordinator, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality care across age groups from neonate

Qualifications

• Current RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing, in good standing.
• Current BLS must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment.
• Current ACLS must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessment and monitoring, using nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Direct patient care for medical/surgical and CCU patients with critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Supervise and support staff during shifts; coordinate with the Clinical Coordinator to manage unit operations.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed, with attention to safety and competency.
• Document patient responses and education provided to patient and family.
