Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics in Northfield, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant / Unit Clerk for the Emergency Department in a part-time night role. You will partner with nursing staff to provide direct patient care and perform essential clerical duties to support unit operations.

The role requires 18+ and MN NAR, AHA BLS, CPI certifications, and strong communication. Prior nursing assistant or HUC experience is preferred. Shift differential and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Registered in good standing with Minnesota MDH NAR.
• AHA BLS for Health Care Providers within 6 months of hire.
• CPI certification within six months of hire.
• Workplace violence education in onboarding and annually.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care and age-appropriate support.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Clerical duties and unit communications for care coordination.
• Schedule tests, procedures, and appointments as ordered.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment and document care.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and patients.
