University of North Dakota is seeking a part-time, non-benefited culinary worker to join our campus dining team in Grand Forks. The position offers 10-29 hours per week with an hourly wage of 15.65–17 and is not remote.

Responsibilities include cooking and serving grilled and fried items, preparing specialty dishes, ensuring food safety and quality, and providing excellent customer service. Weekend and evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

Responsabilités

• Cook and serve grilled and deep-fried items.
• Prepare specialty items and assist the lead cook or chef.
• Cooks entree dishes, meats, sauces, gravies, soups and accompaniments.
• Slices and weighs serving portions of meats, cheeses, etc.
• Prepares food to meet all meal deadlines and maintains high quality.
• Take food temperatures according to a schedule and log it.
• Operates equipment: grills, slicer, chopper, steam equipment, fryers, ovens, scales.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment and assists with washing dishes.
• Follow Serv-Safe hygiene standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
