Job summary

The Salvation Army in Ozark, AL is seeking a part-time cashier to ring up sales, handle cash, and provide excellent customer service. You will balance the cash drawer, prepare receipts, and assist with donor interactions and tax receipts as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining the register area, answering pricing questions, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. Prior retail experience is preferred, with a High School diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Retail store experience is a plus.
• Loyalty to Salvation Army policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists customers purchasing items by ringing up sales and handling cash accurately.
• Prepares receipts and balances the cash drawer; processes bank deposits as needed.
• Maintains clean and secure cash register area and restocks bags and supplies.
• Explains store policy and answers questions about pricing and purchases.
• Assists donors, guides loading/unloading areas, and issues tax receipts as required.
