Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory is seeking a part-time Cashier for the ARC – Adult Rehabilitation Center in Florida. You will assist customers, operate and balance the cash register, collect payments, prepare receipts, and help with deposits while keeping the register area clean, secure, and well‑organized.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service skills, basic math ability, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred
• Retail experience preferred or equivalent training/experience
• Clear reading/writing and English communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items
• Operate and balance the cash register; collect monies, count change, and prepare receipts
• Prepare and deliver bank deposits
• Respond to customers' questions and assist with donations
• Maintain cleanliness/organization of register area and displays; secure merchandise and register
• Answer the store telephone in a tactful and courteous manner
