Qualifications

• 3–12 months of cashier or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to greet customers and perform cash register functions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and invite to cashier lane.
• Perform cash register functions proficiently.
• Direct customers to merchandise or request additional help as needed.
• Answer in-person or telephone questions within guidelines.
• Suggest add-on merchandise.
• Lift heavy/awkward items.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Maintain security measures.
• Create a friendly atmosphere and lasting impression.
• Assist with returns/exchanges and prepare defectives for credit.
• Process and follow up on customer special orders.
• Communicate out-of-stocks using hot sheet/new item requests.
• Assist with stocking, receiving, pricing, and tagging merchandise.
• Stock shelves and keep merchandise neat.
• Assist with store cleaning and upkeep.
• Keep checkout area neat and presentable.
• Fill out rainchecks and process farm plan charges.
• Other duties requested by management.
