Job summary

The City of Carlsbad's Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a Senior Recreation Leader to support financial reconciliation, cash deposits, and courier services. This is a part-time, non-benefited role averaging four hours per day, with a Monday–Wednesday morning schedule.

The position emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and safe operation of a city vehicle. Ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic Excel/Office skills, and the ability to work independently within

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Some college coursework or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Accurately count and reconcile cash deposits against site records.
Enter deposit information into the city's cashiering system and compile supporting documentation.
Assist with report preparation, document organization and general administrative tasks.
Provide courier services including secure pickup and delivery of cash deposits, mail and other items between city facilities.
Safely operate a city-provided electric vehicle for deliveries.
Support upkeep of assigned vehicle including routine charging and periodic drop-offs for scheduled maintenance and car washes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
