Job summary

Georgia Department of Revenue seeks an Adj. Instructor for Carpentry/Construction Management to teach in our technical programs. This is a part-time, day-shift role with up to 29 hours per week, focusing on practical carpentry and construction management education in Georgia's technical college system.

Applicants must have 3 years of carpentry experience; an associate degree is preferred. Teaching experience, Blackboard LMS familiarity, and strong people and computer skills are also desired.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in carpentry.
• Associate degree in carpentry or construction management or related field preferred.
• Teaching experience in Technical College System of Georgia preferred.
• Proficiency with Blackboard LMS preferred.
• Strong people and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and supervises students in Carpentry/Construction Technology.
• Develops outlines, goals and lesson plans for credited courses.
• Evaluates progress and maintains required documentation.
• Ensures safety in the training area and prepares budget requests.
• Assists with recruitment, retention and job placement.
