Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Phoenix, AZ is seeking dependable caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors. Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship. Shifts can vary weekly, with options totaling 10 to 15 hours per week at the Phoenix location.

You will work with a franchisee, which sets its own wage and benefits. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, along with background checks and training completions.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all required trainings and mandated certifications.
• Must be bondable and pass all background screenings (criminal, MVR, credit, references).
• Must be willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must have reliable transportation and demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain auto insurance.
• Must complete company training and orientation program.

Responsibilities

• Provides general attention to clients non-medical needs per Plan of Care.
• Maintains clean, safe, and healthy environment via light housekeeping.
• May prepare and serve meals; keep dishes and kitchen clean.
• Accompanies client to walks, appointments, and community activities.
• Reminds client to take medications.
• Observes changes and reports to supervisor.
• Maintains professional communication with clients, families, and co-workers.
• Participates in trainings, meetings, and client conferences.
• Documents services delivered and submits promptly.
• Uses equipment and supplies safely.
• Maintains client confidentiality.
• Provides companionship and emotional support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking highly dependable, mature, and reliable Caregivers who love to care for the elderly and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors! Our Caregivers provide, personal care, transportation, and support services to clients in a Comfort Keepers established Personal Care Program

Shifts (changes weekly!):

• Tuesday, Thursday: 10 hours/week
• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 15 hours/week

Location: Phoenix, AZ (85014)

Responsibilities:

• Provides general attention to clients non-medical needs in accordance with an established Plan of Care.
• Provides for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients by completing light housekeeping tasks including laundering of client’s garments and linens.
• May prepare and serve meals as directed. Ensures that dishes are washed and kitchen clean after each meal.
• Assists client in completing necessary phone calls, letter writing, etc. Accompanies client on walks, community trips, doctor’s office, bank, beauty salons, etc.
• Reminds client to take self-administered medications.
• Observes and reports any changes in the client’s mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co-workers.
• Participates in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by immediate supervisor.
• Completed required documentation of services delivered and submits to office in a timely manner according to policy.
• Uses equipment and supplies safely and properly.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding client information.
• Provides companionship for the client including, but not limited to: talking and listening, reading aloud, providing social and emotional support. Promotes the client’s mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest. Provides emotional support and promotes a sense of well-being.
• Other reasonable related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
