Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking dependable Caregivers to support seniors in Queen Creek, AZ. You will provide personal and non-medical care, transportation, and companionship within our established Personal Care Program.

Shifts run Part-time in Queen Creek with 10am-3pm and 3:30pm-6:30pm slots. Candidates must complete training, pass background checks, and maintain reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all required training and mandated certifications.
• Must be bondable and pass background screenings (criminal, MVR, credit history, references).
• Must be willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must have reliable transportation and strong reliability and punctuality.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain active auto insurance.
• Must complete company training and orientation program.

Responsibilities

• Provides general attention to clients' non-medical needs per Plan of Care.
• Maintains clean, safe, healthy environment including light housekeeping and laundering.
• May prepare and serve meals; keeps dishes and kitchen clean after meals.
• Accompanies client on walks, appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Reminds client to take medications and observes changes to report to supervisor.
• Establishes professional communication with clients, family and coworkers; participates in meetings and trainings.

We are currently seeking highly dependable, mature, and reliable Caregivers who love to care for the elderly and want to make a difference in the lives of seniors! Our Caregivers provide, personal care, transportation, and support services to clients in a Comfort Keepers established Personal Care Program

Shifts

• Monday-Wednesday, Friday: 10am-3pm
• Monday-Wednesday, Friday: 3:30pm-6:30pm

Location: Queen Creek, AZ (85142)

Responsibilities

• Provides general attention to clients non-medical needs in accordance with an established Plan of Care.
• Provides for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients by completing light housekeeping tasks including laundering of client’s garments and linens.
• May prepare and serve meals as directed. Ensures that dishes are washed and kitchen clean after each meal.
• Assists client in completing necessary phone calls, letter writing, etc. Accompanies client on walks, community trips, doctor’s office, bank, beauty salons, etc.
• Reminds client to take self-administered medications.
• Observes and reports any changes in the client’s mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co-workers.
• Participates in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by immediate supervisor.
• Completed required documentation of services delivered and submits to office in a timely manner according to policy.
• Uses equipment and supplies safely and properly.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding client information.
• Provides companionship for the client including, but not limited to: talking and listening, reading aloud, providing social and emotional support. Promotes the client’s mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest. Provides emotional support and promotes a sense of well-being.
• Other reasonable related duties as assigned.
