Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Part-Time Career Services Advisor for the Cedar Rapids Center. The role requires an associate’s degree or two years of college, plus one year of related work experience. You will assist community members with career planning, resume writing, and interview skills.

Responsibilities include helping job seekers find resources, build computer skills, and develop partnerships with local businesses and schools to meet workforce needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two years of college study completed.
• One year of employment in a related field such as recruiting, supervisory, or training is required.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance required.
• Background checks for motor vehicle, child/elder dependent abuse and sex offender registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with career planning and certification training for community members.
• Support job search activities, resume writing, and interview skills.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with area businesses, organizations, and schools.
