Qualifications

• Maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Provide personal hygiene care such as bath, shave, hair care, and mouth care.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises under supervision.
• Prepare meals with consideration of client preferences and diets.
• Provide companionship and activities tailored to each client.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain records required by the agency and report changes in condition.
• Complete tasks in EVV app for Aide Plan and time sheets.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Adapt to client and family value systems and promote independence.
• Perform other duties per care plan.
