Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to perform ultrasound imaging of cardiac structures, obtain measurements, and assist physicians during TEEs. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification is preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required
• Able to perform stress testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow.
• Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Completion of Echocardiogram program certification

EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate

Current BCLS (AHA) certificate

Able to assist physician with TEE testing

Previous experience in Echocardiograms (all ages)

Hospital experience in Cardiology
