Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois seeks an Echo Tech II to perform and interpret adult echocardiography studies, including TTE, TEE, and stress imaging, while maintaining high-quality patient care and compliance with policy.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI eligibility, BLS, and strong imaging skills with proficiency in Syngo/EPIC systems. Weekend rotation and on-call duties are part of the schedule to support the lab.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with one year relevant experience.
• Graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
• BLS Certification.
• Active ARDMS or CCI Echo registry status.
• 1 year of experience in hospital-based Doppler echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography.
• Must demonstrate imaging skills.
• Computer application aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive thoracic echocardiograms (TTE) per standards.
• Perform and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE).
• Perform exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiograms.
• Acquire and optimize 3D echocardiographic imaging when clinically indicated.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and complete documentation.
• Communicate urgent results appropriately and consult with cardiologists.
