Job summary

The Echo Technologist role in San Luis Obispo, CA supports the cardiology team by performing diagnostic ultrasound exams of the heart, valves, and vessels. You will acquire images, perform Doppler studies, EKG integration, and document findings in the EMR while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Part-time position requiring ARDMS/RDMS, BLS, and at least 1 year of post-graduate cardiac ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized sonography program (CAAHEP-accredited) and ARDMS RDMS certification.
• One year post-graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound or demonstrated proficiency in diagnostics/ultrasound.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiology certificate preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment following safety protocols.
• Explain examinations and review physician orders with the patient.
• Capture high-quality cardiac images and perform Doppler assessments.
• Perform EKGs and integrate with echocardiography.
• Document findings accurately in the EMR and communicate with physicians.
• Maintain equipment, logs, and support daily clinic operations.
