Job summary

Finger Lakes Community College Association Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Campus Store Associate to support daily operations, customer service, and staff supervision at the FLCC Campus Store.

The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, with 20–25 hours weekly, and involves cash handling, POS use, and inventory support. The position offers an engaging, student-centered retail environment on campus, with opportunities to assist with merchandising, events, and promotions while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of retail, customer service, campus store, or related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Experience working with point-of-sale systems, cash handling, or retail transactions.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, train, and provide direction to student and part-time employees.
• Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Campus Store Manager with the daily operation of the Campus Store.
• Open and/or close the store, manage cash handling and security procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Assist customers with purchases, returns, exchanges, product questions, and Campus Store needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming retail environment.
• Supervise and support student and part-time staff; schedule coverage as needed.
• Operate the Campus Store POS system and process transactions accurately.
