Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time for Reading, PA. The role offers fixed shifts with an option to pick up additional hours through our scheduling platform, designed to provide dependable income and hands-on experience in security services.

The position requires 6 months of security experience, basic computer skills, and customer service experience. Pay rate is $17.55 per hour, with opportunities to earn more by covering extra shifts across sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security experience.
• Proficient with computers or tablets.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain professional communication with campus representatives and responders.
