Job summary

The University of Hawai'i System seeks a Casual Basic Needs Program Coordinator to lead the Food Vault Hawai�i–West pantry operations and student basic needs initiatives. You will oversee operations, data tracking, outreach, and partnerships to ensure equitable access to food and essential resources for students.

The role requires strong initiative, independent judgment, and the ability to coordinate multiple functions across student services, facilities, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong knowledge of office operations, including data entry, report preparation, and maintenance of program and fiscal records.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take initiative in a dynamic student service environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and day-to-day management of student basic needs initiatives.
• Oversee pantry operations, hours, and supervision of student staff and volunteers.
• Enforce eligibility policies and distribution procedures for fairness and compliance.
• Oversee inventory management and coordination of donations and supplies.
• Coordinate outreach and partnerships to expand basic needs resources for students.
