Job summary

Edconic in New York is seeking an IT Support Intern to assist students, faculty and staff with technical issues and devices. The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and professional conduct in a campus IT environment.

The position is part-time (10-15 hours/week) with on-site duties, reporting to the Senior IT Analyst. Prior IT support experience is beneficial, but willingness to learn is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of IT concepts, practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in PC and Mac hardware and software configurations.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and other standard business productivity software.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to web applications and technology.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide clear and professional technical support.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work on-site as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve IT support requests via email, in person, and through the Service Desk System.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to standard software applications, web applications, and desktop hardware.
• Prioritise and manage support cases while following up on outstanding issues.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Provide classroom support to ensure smooth operation during lessons and presentations.
• Assist precollege students with accessing and using school systems, and provide guidance on technical issues.
