Job summary

PROCON, an award-winning architectural and construction management firm in New Hampshire, seeks an IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in desktop support, hardware deployment, IT security practices, and technology projects across the organization.

You will work closely with experienced IT staff to troubleshoot, set up new workstations, and deliver friendly customer service while developing foundational IT skills in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed IT/CS degree or equivalent training.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in responding to help desk tickets and basic technical support requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues under supervision.
• Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Set up and configure new user workstations and equipment.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service to employees across departments.
• Assist with installation and configuration of computers and peripheral devices.
• Support software installations, updates, and routine system checks.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
• Participate in hardware refreshes, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
• Assist with documentation of IT processes and troubleshooting steps.
• Follow company IT security policies and assist with patching and antivirus monitoring.
• Escalate complex or unfamiliar issues appropriately.
• Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technologies and apply feedback.
