Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Part Time Student Employee for the Office of Student Life at the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU). This in-person role is open to students enrolled at IU and supports events from small meetings to large conferences.

You will help with setup of meeting rooms, banquet rooms, performance halls, classrooms, and outdoor venues. You will move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, maintain communication with clients, and provide on-site support throughout events.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.
• This is a physically active position requiring mobility and the ability to move and transfer equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Uniforms and safety shoes are provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down event spaces including rooms and outdoor venues.
• Move equipment such as tables, chairs, staging, and AV gear as needed.
• Maintain direct communication with clients to address needs throughout events.
• Read and interpret set-up sheets to ensure accurate configurations.
