Job summary

Indiana Memorial Union is seeking a Part-Time Student Building Manager in Bloomington to support guest experiences and daily operations. You will serve as the main contact for guests, assist with meeting room reservations, and help ensure safety and policy compliance during shifts.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and independent initiative. This is an in-person position based on campus with weekend/evening availability and study-friendly scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provides essential support to the overall guest experience and helps ensure smooth operations during scheduled shifts.
• Serves as the main point of contact for guests, students, faculty, and staff during assigned shifts.
• Provides proactive guest service, including wayfinding assistance and general support to visitors throughout the building.
• Conducts regular building rounds to ensure safety, security, and policy compliance.
• Greets and assists clients with meeting room reservations.
• Locks/unlocks meeting rooms and respond to radio communications.
• Addresses and reports facility issues, policy violations, or emergencies as they arise.
• Enforces building policies to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
• Supports emergency response procedures as needed.
• Serves as primary on-site contact during evenings and weekends.
• Documents shift activities in detailed reports, including incidents, maintenance issues, and other notable occurrences.
