Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring part-time Culinary Service Associates for South and North Dining Halls in Campus Dining. The role is a back-of-house position focused on food preparation support, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.

You will work with culinary staff to ensure smooth service and quality dining experiences for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Capable of time management with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Able to maintain a standing position for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of serving lines, displays, and condiment stations.
• Assist with basic food prep tasks as directed by culinary staff.
• Monitor and replenish items on serving lines and alert cooks to low stock.
• Operate and maintain basic kitchen equipment safely.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and utensils.
• Assist with dishwashing duties and proper storage of clean dishware.
• Support inventory by receiving, rotating, and storing food and supplies.
