Job summary

Phillips Exeter Academy seeks a part-time Buddhist Instructor to support the Religious Services department and the campus community. The role involves guiding students and staff in Buddhist studies, coordinating with related departments, and contributing to spiritual life programs.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree preference, knowledge of Buddhism, event planning experience, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Knowledgeable practitioner of Buddhism.
• Event planning experience preferred.
• Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource for the community to promote understanding of Buddhism across sects.
• Collaborate with Religion, Philosophy, and Ethics department and students in teaching Buddhism.
• Conduct one-on-one conversations with students and community members as needed.
• Attend routine meetings with Religious and Spiritual Life staff and Director; schedule as required.
