Compensation
$7,300-$9,600 annual compensation for thisposition is based on relevant education and experience and will beset within the listed range.
Schedule
8-10 hours per week during the Academic Year whileschool is in session, hours vary depending on class schedule andstudent availability. Routine evening and occasional weekend hoursmay be required. Schedule may vary according to departmental andAcademy needs.

Position Purpose
Lend support to the school's Religious and Spiritual Lifedepartment and PEA community.
Key Accountabilities
- The Instructor serves as a resource for the community towards abroad working understanding of Buddhism, with attention given toboth the differences existing between Buddhist sects and thesimilarities among them.
- The Instructor collaborates with members of the Religion,Philosophy, and Ethics department and its students as a resource inthe teaching of Buddhism.
- Conduct one-on-one conversations, primarily with students andsecondarily with adults from our community, as needed.
- Participate in routine meetings with the Director and othermembers of the Religious and Spiritual Life staff, to be scheduledat the convenience and availability of those involved.

Frequent contact with students, Dean of Students office, PEAadministrative and academic offices, faculty, coaches, and staff.External contacts may include parents, outside organizations,visitors and local community neighbors.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience
- Must be a knowledgeable practitioner of Buddhism.
- Event planning experience preferred.
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational settingpreferred.
