Job summary

American Girl NYC, part-time server, is seeking an energetic individual to deliver food and beverages and provide an outstanding dining experience in a fast-paced cafe setting. You will greet guests, upsell menu items and ensure guests with allergies are accommodated.

Qualifications include two years in a high-volume or fine dining environment, ServSafe preferred, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a high-volume and/or fine dining restaurant.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to operate restaurant computer systems.
• Physically able to carry a serving tray up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers upon arrival and inform them of food and beverage options.
• Know menu items and assist guests with allergies.
• Address concerns and special requests professionally and promptly.
• Deliver food and beverages, upsell, and manage tables; process checks in Infogenesis.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and state health laws.
• Support restaurant team during events and store-wide activities.
