Job summary

Tri-CAP is seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic and dependable Part-Time Bus Driver to serve our community with safe, curb-to-curb transportation. This role operates on a flexible schedule and requires strong customer service and safety awareness.

You will operate buses on assigned routes, assist passengers, perform inspections, monitor fares, and complete related paperwork while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must be a people person who can build relationships with riders.
• Adaptable and change-ready to shifting priorities.
• Strong problem solver with clear communication with dispatch.
• Safety oriented to provide a safe transportation experience.
• Detail oriented to anticipate conflicts and explain vehicle maintenance.
• Experience in bus transportation is a plus; willingness to obtain CDL with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate bus along assigned route and schedule.
• Assist passengers with mobility aids.
• Maintain safe transportation standards and secure passengers.
• Conduct daily and weekly vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Monitor fare collection from passengers.
• Complete paperwork related to bus operation and passenger concerns.
• Daily cleaning and bus maintenance.
