Job summary

Indiana University East is seeking a part-time Transportation Driver to safely transport passengers to and from extracurricular activities, events, and athletic competitions on the IU East campus in Richmond, Indiana.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 2 years of driving experience, and a valid Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement. Weekend and overnight trips are expected, with hours based on qualifications and event schedules.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSD or GED)

Work Experience

• 2 years driving experience

Licenses and Certificates

• Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University
• A Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement (Please note, the university will pay for training if necessary)

Working Conditions / Demands

• This position requires availability to work weekends and overnight trips and the ability to maintain written documentation of driving assignments.
• Ability to know your location in relation to the environment or know where other objects are in relation to you and your vehicle.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions, hear and understand verbal instructions and to maintain legible records.
• The position requires availability for weekend and overnight trips.
