Job summary

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D.

Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the teaching discipline or an associate’s degree with building construction competencies.
• Preferred: South Carolina LLR Residential Builder’s License or General Contractor’s License.
• Positions are temporary, part-time and may involve multiple campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse student body at multiple locations using instructional technology and varied methods.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction.
• Follow EPA and OSHA regulations relevant to the program.
• Participate in college functions as needed.
• Apply teaching practices that support program and college improvement.
