Job summary

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D.

Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Photography, or related field is required.
• Responsibilities include teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology, and applying a variety of effective teaching methods.
• Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick.

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse student body at various locations in accordance with syllabi.
• Utilize instructional technology and diverse teaching methods.
• Plan, manage and deliver course instruction.
• Follow EPA and OSHA regulations related to the program.
• Participate in college functions as needed.
• Support continuous improvement of the program and the college.
