NETA(MA) & SURTERRA WELLNESS is hiring a Retail Sales Associate/Budtender in Brookline, MA. You will be the face of our dispensary, delivering friendly service, product knowledge, and compliant sales while maintaining store standards.

This hybrid role combines in-store duties with home deliveries. A valid MA driver’s license and clean driving record are required; shifts include opening/closing hours and weekends, up to 30 hours weekly, with hourly pay starting at $17.50 plus tips.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive Sales and Revenue: Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales; Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets; Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and programs to inform customers effectively.
• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience; Provide detailed product information and recommendations; Handle inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally; Retrieve patient information when required from the Medical Marijuana Use Registry and maintain HIPAA compliant paperwork; Package pre-orders for reserve ahead pickups; Obtain documentation for each patient at delivery.
• Store Operations: Operate POS and sales systems; Maintain a clean, organized sales floor; Assist with inventory management; Set up promotional displays; Follow state regulations pertaining to Cannabis retailers; Other duties as assigned.
• Compliance and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions; Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements; Follow loss prevention guidelines.

IN A NUTSHELL

As a Retail Sales Associate/Budtender, you are the face of our dispensary locations, providing exceptional service and product knowledge to our customers. Your role is pivotal in driving revenue through effective sales strategies, maintaining dispensary standards, and fostering a welcoming environment.

Schedule Requirements:

Varying shifts including both opening and closing, weekdays and weekends, max of 30 hours weekly

Compensation:

While our range is $16.52 to $21.17, we bring in all of our retail sales associates at $17.50 an hour plus tips

Additional Information:

This is a hybrid role meaning the Retail Sales Associate will be working in store as well as conducting deliveries. This requires a valid MA state driver's license and a clear Motor Vehicle Record.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Drive Sales and Revenue:

• Responsible for high quality patient customer service, retrieving patient information when required from the Medical Marijuana Use Registry, and maintaining confidential and HIPAA compliant paperwork
• Package pre-orders efficiently and accurately for reserve ahead pickups
• Obtain the appropriate documentation from each patient at every delivery, ensuring validity of their identification and registration with Medical Marijuana Use
• Deliver products to customers in the store or via home delivery

Store Operations:

• Operate POS and any auxiliary sales systems and handle sales transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise
• Set up and dismantle promotional displays and visual merchandising
• Follow all state regulations pertaining to certified Cannabis retailers
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING:

NETA(MA) & SURTERRA WELLNESS (FL) MARKET ONLY:

Class D Driver’s License (Massachusetts) / Class E Driver's License (Florida)

Must present a current DMV printout with none of the following violations:

• Any major violations (DWI, homicide, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene) within the last 7 years.
• Two or more other moving violations and one at fault accident in the last three years.
• Two or more fault accidents in the last three years with no moving violations.
• No more than 3 moving violations or chargeable accidents in the past.

Preferred:

• Experience in the Cannabis industry.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Ability to speak another language to assist guests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for prolonged periods during the shift.
• Ability to assist with lifting stock and materials.
• Occasionally positions self to retrieve product or material in the store throughout the duration of the shift.

• Ability to pick up heavy items to load (50 or more lbs.) onto vehicle
