Job summary

National University’s Department of Nursing is seeking part-time faculty to conduct Pediatrics clinicals at placement sites for the BSN program. The successful candidate will teach and support students, collaborating with the Academic Program Director to uphold program quality and student success.

Qualified applicants hold an MSN, possess obstetric nursing experience or teaching experience, and hold a CA RN license.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
• At least 1 year of continuous clinical bedside nursing experience in Obstetric & Mother-Baby Nursing in the last 5 years, or 1 year of clinical teaching experience in the last 5 years.
• Current, unencumbered CA Registered Nursing license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions at clinical placement sites.
• Provide timely, substantive feedback on assessments.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive student-centric learning environment.
• Complete required tasks by deadlines (e.g., grades, rubrics).
• Maintain professional training or scholarly activities when applicable.
• Provide feedback to course lead on course content.
