Job summary

Nexstar Media seeks an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer to manage day-to-day upkeep, repairs, and operation of our television station’s property, studios, and offices in New York. You’ll report to the Chief Engineer and may supervise on-site contracted work to ensure a safe, clean, and fully functional broadcast environment.

The role emphasizes basic maintenance across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and safety tasks, with a part-time schedule and compensation in the stated hourly range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
• Broad experience with general maintenance, repair work, and handyman skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs to keep studios and offices in top condition.
• Fix doors, locks, windows, and standard office furniture.
• Conduct routine plumbing maintenance, including clearing drains and repairing minor leaks.
• Monitor HVAC and electrical systems, replace filters, bulbs, and troubleshoot minor issues.
