Job summary

WIVT-TV, NewsChannel 34, owned by Nexstar Media Group Inc., seeks an experienced Building Maintenance Engineer for part-time, on-site duties at our New York station. You will maintain studios, offices, and technical rooms to ensure safe, clean, and fully functional environments for broadcast operations.

You will report to the Chief Engineer, perform routine maintenance, and assist supervising contracted work. The role requires a high school diploma, valid license, and hands-on maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Broad experience of general maintenance techniques, repair work, and handyman skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility maintenance and repairs to studios and offices.
• Monitor HVAC and electrical systems; replace filters, bulbs, and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Inspect and maintain safety equipment, and upkeep exterior grounds and common areas.
• Assist in supervising onsite contracted work and respond to facility emergencies as needed.
