Job summary

OluKai is seeking a part-time Retail Associate (Huaka’i) to welcome guests and deliver a premium brand experience in our Irvine store. You will be the first contact for guests, engage with customers using a storytelling approach, and stay current on product lines and fashion trends.

Responsibilities include in-store service, back-of-house support, and brand ambassadorship at local events. The role requires flexibility for holidays and weekends, a minimum of 6 months in retail or customer

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written.
• An independent work ethic, excellent time management skills and organizational abilities.
• Positive attitude and high integrity.
• Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move objects weighing up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the store and deliver a remarkable brand experience.
• Be the first point of contact for guests and engage with new customers to build rapport.
• Share details of OluKai's brand partnerships, product design inspirations and rationale.
• Provide product recommendations that meet customer needs with a storytelling approach.
• Maintain visual standards and store cleanliness; assist with back-of-house duties including receiving and restocking.
• Utilize POS accurately to ensure a seamless checkout experience.
• Represent OluKai as a brand ambassador at local events and giveback programs.
