The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is seeking a part-time Box Office Sales Assistant to deliver high quality customer service to museum guests. You will greet visitors, process admissions, memberships, and related transactions using our ticketing software, and maintain data accuracy and privacy.

The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service, cross-functional teamwork, and flexible weekend availability. This position reports to the Box Office Manager and supports special events as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in box office, customer service, retail, or sales.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional service in daily face-to-face contact with museum guests.
• Uses admissions software to sell tickets, memberships, and event tickets; promotes museum revenue opportunities.
• Enters customer demographic data accurately and maintains data privacy standards.
• Suggestively sells memberships and explains benefits to box office customers; aims for monthly goals.
• Keeps knowledge up-to-date on museum procedures and products to assist visitors effectively.
• Adheres to cash handling standards; balances cash drawer and processes membership data accurately.
• Is cross-trained in Visitor Services and Customer Service Center operations as needed.
• Works in a team in an open space; maintains dependability and organization.
