Jesuit Retreat House in Oshkosh, WI is seeking a dependable Bookkeeper & Payroll Specialist to support daily financial operations. The role handles accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and financial deposits with confidentiality and strong controls.

The position is part-time (24-28 hours/week), on-site, primarily Monday-Thursday, with benefits including retirement, dental, life insurance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 2–3 years bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or related experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and consistently meet deadlines.
• High degree of integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of Jesuit Retreat House.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and process accounts payable/receivable.
• Process employee payroll semi-monthly and ensure timely payment.
• Prepare deposits and reconcile bank and other financial accounts.
• Assist with month-end/year-end accounting activities and audits.
• Provide financial reports and support to the Director of Operations & Finance.
