Job summary

The American Red Cross in Farmington, CT seeks a Distribution Technician for a part-time, weekend-evening role. You’ll receive, pack and ship blood products, ensure proper temperature control, maintain accurate records and communicate with hospital clients and vendors to support timely orders.

Work Fri–Sun, 3:30pm–11:30pm, at $21.43/hr with possible shift differentials. A high school diploma and two years in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
• Triage orders based on date/time; ensure correct temperature regulation during transport.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors; maintain product records for traceability.
