Job summary

The American Red Cross in Dedham, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II (Distribution) to receive, process, pack, and ship blood products for hospital orders. You will triage orders by urgency, pack products at correct temperatures, and maintain precise distribution records.

Responsibilities include inventory management, prioritizing workloads, data entry, and occasional hospital deliveries. A high school diploma and 2 years in regulatory or manufacturing environments are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution, while meeting production goals.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping processes.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
• Perform data entry for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping; maintain accurate records.
• Analyze and decide based on visual inspection and information from other departments to meet time and quality standards.
• Identify and quarantine products/samples not meeting quality requirements; dispose of unacceptable product.
