Job summary

Meals on Wheels Greater San Diego is seeking a Live Scan Technician & Support to administer biometric services and provide essential facility and program operations support. You will process fingerprinting, verify IDs, manage intake, and handle daily administrative duties in a busy nonprofit setting.

The role requires attention to regulatory details, strong teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy across all tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education or equivalent required.
• California Live Scan background process knowledge preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive information securely and discreetly.

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic fingerprint captures (Live Scan) per CA DOJ/FBI standards.
• Verify government IDs against approved standards for each applicant.
• Review BCIA 8016 forms for accuracy before transmission.
• Manage client intake, walk-ins, online scheduling, and issue receipts with ATI tracking numbers.
• Process and reconcile Live Scan fees using the POS system; settle and report end-of-day results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Live Scan equipment; coordinate with IT for issues.
• Provide front-desk support and general administrative tasks as needed.
• Support off-site clinics and volunteer enrollment events across San Diego County.
• Assist Finance and Operations with mail, data entry, and meeting room prep.
