Job summary

Comprehensive Mobile Care is seeking a bilingual Spanish/English Optician/Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across Los Angeles County. The role is part-time, with a schedule of 2–3 days per week and a compensation of $26 per hour plus mileage reimbursement and travel pay.

You will assist the optometrist with patient intake, screenings, eyewear selection, and basic repairs while maintaining safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• 2+ years experience as Optician or Optometric Technician preferred.
• Medical assisting experience is a plus.
• Geriatric/senior population experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
• Communicate clearly with patients in bilingual Spanish/English
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs
• Set up and maintain portable optometry equipment

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a bi‑lingual (Spanish/English) Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across Los Angeles County.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including bi‑lingual (Spanish/English) communication
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs
• Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment
• Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols
• Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks
• Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred
• Medical Assisting experience is a plus
• Bi‑lingual proficiency required
• Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred
• Strong understanding of OSHA and infection control standards
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Able to lift and transport equipment (typically 25–50 lbs.)
• Must be able to pass a federal background check and drug screening
• Professional, punctual, and able to work independently
