Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking an Optician / Medical Assistant to support senior outpatient clinics across multiple clinics around San Diego, California — one clinic per day. This is a mission-driven healthcare role focused on delivering quality vision care to underserved communities.

The position offers a 3-day per week schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), $27 per hour plus mileage reimbursement, W2 employment, bilingual English and Spanish proficiency, and the opportunity to work

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an Optician or Optometric Technician preferred.
• Medical Assisting experience is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency required.
• Experience serving geriatric or senior populations preferred.
• Must pass a federal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist the optometrist with patient intake, visual screenings, and basic diagnostic testing.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including Spanish and English speaking patients.
• Assist with eyewear selection, adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs.
• Set up, break down, and maintain portable optometry equipment.
• Follow sterilization, safety, and infection control protocols.
• Complete basic documentation, charting, and administrative tasks.
• Represent CMC with professionalism, compassion, and reliability.

There may also be opportunities to cross-train in additional clinical areas such as audiology and podiatry.

What You’ll Do
