LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time substitute teacher who can demonstrate strong Biblical knowledge and effective classroom instruction. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of caring for and engaging students.

The role involves completing substitute teacher training, delivering LifeWise lessons on an as-needed basis, and maintaining a safe, organized classroom while adhering to LifeWise policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church.
• Ability to model and communicate with care and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records for each class and provide them to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, orderly classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community and communicate plans with volunteers.
